Shanda Bush (Accounting) Office Manager
Shanda began her career with Hicon in 2006 as an Office Assistant and was quickly promoted to Office Manager in 2008. She has worked in the construction industry for over 22 years. A true Westsider, she was born, raised, and still lives in the Bridgetown area. She enjoys spending time golfing, traveling, and attending University of Cincinnati football games with her husband Eric.
Marty Clark (Paving Division) Executive Vice President
Marty Clark holds the distinction of being Hicon's youngest "up-start" having started with the Paving Division in the summer of 1978 while still a student at Elder High School. He became a full time field employee in the summer of 1980 after graduating and learned paving while installing paving for various installations- walks, driveways, pool decks, and even horse stables. That experience qualified Marty to begin managing all field operations for the Paving Division in 1988. Today, while still estimating residential projects, Marty is responsible for and now manages commercial sales and production. He served as a board member for the Cincinnati Chapter of American Subcontractors Association of Ohio for three years. Marty resides in Delhi Township and enjoys spending time with his wife Tina and their sons while still supporting his Alma Mater- Elder High School.
Mike Faeth, (Masonry Division) Project Manager/Safety Director
Mike Faeth began his career with Hicon in 1991 as a laborer for the Paving Division. After becoming a foreman in 1992, Mike successfully managed many projects both large and small until 1999 when he was promoted to a position of estimator trainee for the Restoration Division. In 2005, he was asked to transfer to the Masonry Division as an Estimator and Project Manager in order to fill an open spot. Mike also serves as the Safety Officer. Partly through his efforts and the "safety culture" in the company, Hicon is proud to maintain a credit rating through the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. One of three Elder High School alumni in Hicon's management ranks, Mike also holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Cincinnati State. He enjoys golf and spending time with his wife and kids in his free time.
Chris Friedhoff (Masonry Division) Field Operations Manager
Chris Friedhoff began his Hicon career with the Restoration Division of Hicon Inc. in 1999 and worked as a foreman on many residential projects in the tri-state area. Chris's career in construction actually began when he was a student at East Central High School in Indiana, where he began dabbling in unit masonry on the weekend. After graduating, Chris attended Purdue University and studied Building Construction Technology for a time before coming to Hicon. After three years, due to a retirement, Chris was promoted to Field Operations Manager of Hicon's Masonry Division and today is responsible for quality control and safe operations on projects. A true construction technician, Chris is often called upon by all divisions of Hicon for his expertise. Chris lives in Sunman, Indiana with his wife, Terri and two children.
Steve Parrot (Paving Division) Project Manager
Steve is the newest member of our company. He is a
2014 graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Construction
Management. Steve was born and raised in the Akron area and is a lifetime
Cleveland Browns fan. He interned with us for only one year before we knew
we had to make him a member of our team. We are
excited about his creativity and new ideas he brings to our company.
Daniel J. Verst (Restoration Division) President
Dan Verst, a native and resident of Cold Spring, Kentucky is also a proud University of Kentucky fan. A 1981 graduate of Bishop Brossart High School, Dan was introduced to Hicon by his brother Jack and entered the ranks of the company in 1988. After a four year stint with Hicon's Masonry division, Dan was called upon to lead a new "start-up" restoration division of Hicon. Dan set a early goal of achieving superior quality for Hicon clients. In achieving that goal, Hicon Restoration has become the market leader in residential projects. Through the years, the company has restored numerous chimneys, historic home facades, and provided a host of residential masonry and concrete repair services. Dan is proud of this Hicon division's accomplishments and of the firm's steadfast requirement of quality workmanship. When away from Hicon, Dan spends time with his wife, Amy, and their four children. "Go Blue!"
Jack Verst (Masonry Division) Vice President
Jack Verst is a veteran of the ranks of Hicon Inc. A senior estimator and corporate manager with the firm, Jack began his career with Hicon in 1979 as an estimator trainee. After working in the estimating area for nine years, Jack was promoted to Corporate Manager of the Hicon Masonry Division in 1988. He has an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering from Cincinnati State and has been responsible for securing literally hundreds of Hicon masonry projects through the years. In the office and industry, Jack is known to be very thorough and exacting in his work. Outside the confines of business, Jack enjoys the Cincinnati Reds and spending time with his wife Tammy and their seven children. Jack, the first of the Verst brothers, also graduated from Kentucky's Bishop Brossart High School.
Dave Wetzel (Restoration Division) Project Manager
Known for his "can do" attitude, Dave Wetzel is a relatively short timer with Hicon having begun his career with the firm in 2007. A "west sider" and Oak Hills High School graduate, Dave has over 20 years of experience in chimney related repairs and masonry repair. Working as a Project Manager with Hicon, Dave is one of those people on which a company and customer can depend. He has left his positive mark on many Cincinnati area homes. Dave can often be seen with his "Mister Clean" signature appearance on the job and at Hicon attended trade shows. Dave, his wife Christie and two girls live in Bridgetown.
Bruce Williams (All Divisions) Yard Operations Manager
Bruce Williams is one of those "unsung heroes" at Hicon. He began his career working as a craftsman installing caulking on new construction projects in northern California. After spending several years on the west coast, Bruce came back home to Cincinnati and began managing Hicon's hectic yard operations in 2006. "Each day is a different adventure" according to Bruce as he masterfully schedules deliveries of material and equipment. A graduate of Fairfield High School, Bruce is an avid golfer. When not planning job deliveries, Bruce can be found planning his next golf shot on one of Cincinnati's many public golf courses. He resides in Fairfield with his daughter.
